Happy #throwbackthursday #tbt! Today I am throwing back to that hilarious 80’s sitcom Too Close For Comfort. I have been watching it on Pluto TV.
The show is about a Mother and Fater in their 50s that lease their basement apartment to their two grown daughters. One daughter is very responsible and doesn’t cause much trouble. The younger daughter is the typical 80’s ditzy blonde like Chrissy on Three’s Company. Then there is that crazy friend named Monroe, played by the goofy Jim J. Bullock.
The show is very entertaining and is a type of TV you sadly do not see anymore. The writing was good, and the cast did an outstanding job of playing their characters. It ran for six seasons from November 11, 1980 –; February 7, 1987. It was renewed for a seventh. season but the father played by Ted Knight passed away from cancer in 1986.
I do not get anything compensation for telling you about Pluto TV, but if you don’t mind some commercials, it has older shows both in a channel format that you watch live and a lot of on-demand programs. Go to https://pluto.tv/ for more information.
Here is a clip from YouTuber Kermit’s Korner about the cast and where they are now. Enjoy!
